With the summer feel in the air we have been catering for quite a few afternoon tea parties recently. All have been miraculously lucky with the weather! As well as bite size sandwiches and little sweet treats a tea party also needs flowers. Some beautiful blooms were supplied from Flowers by Maxwell.
We are so lucky working with food. Everyday our ingredients appeal to our senses in so many ways.
Here are some pictures sharing some of the unexpected patterns that we find during our daily prep. They aren’t far from their natural raw state, nature is one of the greatest artists. We did this dinner for a 21st birthday here in Edinburgh. A crunchy, spicy Thai spoon is one of our canapés. Starters were fish cakes, spicy prawns and spring rolls.
Followed by beef massaman. Lemon tart with candied lime leaves and green tea ice cream. A fun night had by all! Plus a surprise chocolate Malteser cake. |
